What is it like to Scuba Dive?
I’ve been asked this question many times before and the best way that I can describe it is this;
‘Being underwater is like having a new body in a new environment. Your mask are your new eyes, your fins are your new feet, your tank are your new lungs and the water – is your new playground. Once you are comfortable in your new body, you are absolutely free. Just need a little practice, and the willingness to learn and you’ll be transported to another world.’
And we’re right here to guide you every step of the way.
Where do we go to do our Open Water diving part of our Certification?
Getting to Tioman
By Car
It roughly takes about a 4 hour drive to reach Mersing, Johor from Kuala Lumpur.
By Bus
Alternatively, students can choose the night bus from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan which can be booked here.
Ferry
From Mersing, it just takes a short 1 and a half hour ferry (+60 7799 8518, Bluewater Ferry) to reach Tioman.
Why Tioman? Can we do our Open Water segment somewhere else?
We choose Tioman for it offers the easiest and most enjoyable diving for beginners. That being said, there have been many experienced divers who keep on returning to Tioman on a regular basis – even for years and still don’t get bored. For each dive is different, and as you gain experience you’ll get more out of each dive. Plus it’s relatively near to KL, yet offers affordable and quality diving.
However we do offer custom packages for even the most discerning clients. Drop us an email to find out more.
